The Sandy Township Police Department is a Progressive 21st Century Law Enforcement Agency that delivers quality police services to the public at the highest level. The team of dedicated professionals is comprised of an Administrative Chief of Police, Detective/Sergeant, Sergeant, Two (2) Patrol Corporals, Seven (7) Full-Time Police Officers, Two (2) Part-Time Police Officers, and an Administrative Assistant.
Sandy Township, which surrounds the City of DuBois, is the most populous municipality in Clearfield County and provides services to approximately 11,000 residents encompassing 52 square miles. Officers patrol 100 miles of roadway as well as an additional 100 miles of roadway within the private gated community of Treasure Lake. Interstate 80 and the major state routes of 219, 119, 322, and 255 and rail traverse the Township. Sandy Township and DuBois are a major econmic retail hub for the tri-county area and see a substantial daily transient population who travel to the Township for work, school, food, shopping, and recreation.
